KING’S UNIVERSITY COLLEGE FACULTY ASSOCIATION MEMBERS VOTE 96% IN FAVOUR OF A STRIKE MANDATE
London, ON, August 8, 2024:
King’s University College Faculty Association members vote 96% in favour of a strike mandate.
From August 7-8th, King’s University College Faculty Association (KUCFA) held a strike mandate vote of all members in which 90.9% of KUCFA members participated with 96% voting in favour of a strike mandate. This greatly assists the Collective Bargaining Team to advance the interests of KUCFA members at the negotiation table.
We remain steadfastly committed to ensuring our members receive fair compensation, have job security and protections for academic freedom, as well as fair and equitable working conditions.
Bargaining continues. We are not on strike. The CBC has a scheduled meeting with the employer, supported by a conciliator, on August 29. We will continue to bargain in good faith with the employer.
