Members can volunteer to serve on the Executive and several KUCFA committees.

Executive  2024-25
The Executive makes the day-to-day decisions on behalf of the membership. Major decisions are made directly by a vote of the membership at General Meetings which are held at least four times per academic year.

Collective Bargaining Committee

The Collective Bargaining Committee bargains for approved Association proposals regarding salary, benefits, professional and research funds; conditions of employment for faculty (such as academic freedom, tenure, promotions, family leave, grievance procedures) and meets with the appropriate Board committee to bargain for the approved Association proposals.  The current contract ends April 2024 making this a bargaining year.

Grievance Committee
The Grievance Committee advises faculty members regarding possible grievances, makes recommendations as to whether the Association supports a grievance and, if requested, assists faculty members during the grievance process.

KUCFA Equity and Social Justice Committee
The Equity committee addresses, through education and advocacy activities, equity, human rights, anti-racism, decolonization and diversity which may affect all Members. The Committee also investigates concerns brought forth from all equity-seeking groups as well as general Membership and recommends strategies/solutions to ensure King’s operates on the principles of both equity and equality.

Joint Health and Safety Representatives
The two faculty health and safety representatives ensure the employer is in abidance with the health and safety needs of faculty and represents faculty needs in maintaining a safe workplace.

Social Committee
The Social Committee members work in cooperation with representatives from the professional and staff associations to oversees social functions on campus.

Community Fundraising Committee
Oversees the annual fundraising campaign of King’s Employees to give back to the London community.

Faculty Mentors

Faculty mentors serve as an informal resource and sounding board for newly hired faculty members providing them insights about the campus outside the purview of administration prior to the commencement of the fall term.  The faculty mentors are invited to the mentor-mentee lunch at the commencement of the academic year and are available to answer any questions during the new faculty members initial year.

Auditor
The auditor conducts and audit at the end of the fiscal year. The auditor is not on the Executive and is approved by the membership.
