Support for academic programs: To ensure that we can continue to provide strong academic programs for our students, we need sufficient, stable faculty positions. To this end, KUCFA is bargaining for a pathway for faculty on limited-term appointments to enter permanent, tenure-track positions.
Faculty recruitment and retention: Recruiting and retaining talented faculty will be supported with salaries that are comparable to those at other similar universities. Therefore, our bargaining team is working to ensure fair pay for faculty.
Academic librarians in membership: We are working to create spaces for academic librarians as members of KUCFA. By including our Academic Librarian colleagues as members of KUCFA, they will have support for their important teaching and research work as well as the freedom to fully support everyone’s academic work at King’s.
